Factsheets for overseas visitors being reviewed

factsheet headers

We have produced a series of 7 factsheets explaining which NHS services different groups of overseas visitors can expect to access when they are in Scotland. This information is reviewed every year to ensure that it is kept up to date.

The 2011 revision started earlier this month, when we consulted with the Scottish Government and key stakeholders. We will take account of their feedback to prepare revised versions of the factsheets. These drafts will then be checked for legal accuracy and reviewed by the Plain Language Commission over the coming weeks.

We hope to have the revised factsheets ready for Scottish Government sign off sometime in October. We will then update the information in the Health care for overseas visitors section of our website.
