We have worked with the Scottish Government Health Directorates to produce a series of leaflets to explain changes that are happening to primary care services.
The Minor Ailment Service at your local pharmacy
The Minor Ailment Service leaflet describes an NHS service for children, people aged 60 or over, people who hold a medical exemption certificate and people on certain benefits. If this applies to you, you can get medicines or treatments for a minor illness or complaint free of charge from your pharmacist without a prescription from your GP. The leaflet is also available on the Scottish Government website.

This leaflet tells you about a service for people with a long-term condition. The Chronic Medication Service is available at pharmacies across Scotland. This information is also available on the Scottish Government website.
