Department of Health (England)
A Government organisation which sets national standards, shapes the direction of health and social care services and promotes healthier living in England.
Fair for all - Disability
This is a strategic partnership initiative developed by the Scottish Executive Health Department, and the Disability Rights Commission. The team consists of health service, voluntary sector and Disability Rights Commission staff who are funded to support NHSScotland until March 2007.
ISD Scotland
The Information Services Division of the NHS in Scotland - the national organisation for health information, statistics and IT services.
NHS National Services Scotland
Provides a diverse range of support services to ensure that frontline patient care is delivered effectively across Scotland.
Scotland's Health on the Web (SHOW)
On-line health information provided by NHSScotland.
Scottish Government Health Directorates
The Scottish Government Health Directorates are responsible both for NHSScotland and for the development and implementation of health and community care policy.
Scottish Health Council
A body set up by the Scottish Executive to ensure that the views of patients and the public are properly taken into account by NHS Boards.
Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN)
Develops and disseminates national clinical guidelines for NHSScotland containing recommendations for effective practice based on current evidence.
