Patients' Rights conference - 31 March 2009
As you may be aware, the Scottish Government has made a commitment to introduce a Patients' Rights Bill. This conference brought stakeholders together to discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by the Bill, and Nicola Sturgeon MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing, spoke in the afternoon to give the Scottish Government's perspective.
The profile of HRIS was raised considerably at the conference. Our project manager, Liz MacDonald, gave a very well-received presentation entitled "Making patients' rights a reality: informing, supporting and empowering patients", and our exhibition stand generated a great deal of interest from delegates.
