Our target audience/ stakeholders
Our target audience was members of the general public. We aimed to make the information accessible to as many people as possible. The position of children and people with incapacity was to be covered in the information, but not in a great deal of detail.
The main stakeholders included people working in the NHS responsible for data protection; the Scottish Executive Health Department; regulatory bodies which provide guidance in this area (such as the General Medical Council), front line staff; and members of the public, particularly people who were likely to have concerns about confidentiality.
